With a relaxed and unobtrusive approach, I create space for you to feel comfortable and present while your day unfolds naturally. Photographing weddings and families across the Wairarapa and New Zealand, my work is timeless, heartfelt, and honest — creating images that feel true to you and meaningful for years to come.
My approach
My approach to wedding and portrait photography is relaxed, thoughtful, and unobtrusive. Based in Martinborough, New Zealand, I focus on creating a calm environment where you can be fully present, knowing your day is being documented honestly. I’ll offer gentle guidance when needed, then step back and allow real moments to unfold naturally. This balance results in timeless images that reflect genuine connection and capture the moments you’ll feel forever.
Life Beyond the Lens
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me out in the hills on our family sheep and beef farm, working as a shepherd alongside my six dogs. Farming has always been a huge part of my life, and being surrounded by animals and wide open landscapes has shaped who I am and how I see the world. I spent two years in Canada photographing wildlife, chasing elk and grizzlies through the backcountry and documenting everything from mountain lions to lynx in northern BC and the Yukon. Those experiences taught me to slow down, observe, and look for quiet moments of character, especially in the eyes. A single look can tell a whole story, and that’s something I carry into my portrait and wedding photography today: images that feel honest, thoughtful, and full of emotion.

Toi was my first heading dog and she’s still my best. She’s incredibly smart, full of pride in her work, and fiercely loyal—the kind of dog that will stick by your side no matter what. She’s taught me patience, trust, and what partnership really looks like on the hill.

August brings new life to the farm, and there’s nothing better than seeing lambs hit the ground. Our ewes are incredible mothers—gentle, protective, and completely dedicated to their lambs. Watching them bond and grow in the hills never gets old.
